A post today on Jalopnik conjured up a chuckle of astonishment. Some crazy person installed two GE jet turbines into a Toyota MR2 and is selling it on eBay. Current bid: $18,650. Crazy.
Pretty silly, actually. There's a guy in my quorum that used to by secretary in the EQ presidency that does stuff like this. He had a similar vintage that he planned to put a Lexus V8 into. He sold that and bought a Porsche 944, which he hopped up with a huge turbo. He scrapped that engine and bought the Lexus V8 which he is now shoe-horning into the Porsche.
He's also a MD/PhD student. I don't know what sickness makes people do things like this. ;-)
